Glossary:

Operational Drift

Operational Drift refers to the gradual shift away from intended procedures, controls, or safety standards over time.

Often driven by production pressures, complacency, or the normalisation of shortcuts. These deviations may go unnoticed until they contribute to incidents or reduced control effectiveness.

Within myosh, Operational Drift can be monitored and addressed through modules such as Incident Investigation, and Critical Control Management, which help identify underlying trends, track deviations, and support a continuous learning approach to improve work as it is actually performed.
