Safe Work Australia has released a stakeholder pack to support the transition to new workplace exposure limits for airborne contaminants.
According to the agency, work health and safety ministers agreed to a new list of exposure limits in April 2024, which will come into effect on 1 December 2026.
The stakeholder pack is designed for work health and safety regulators, occupational hygienists, safety professionals, unions, industry bodies, and employers. Safe Work Australia stated the pack provides key messages and ready-to-use resources to promote awareness and assist workplaces in preparing for the updated limits.
