Safe Work Australia has launched an online version of the model Code of Practice for the healthcare and social assistance industry. According to the agency, the web-based format provides the same guidance as the traditional text-based version while supporting easier navigation.
The healthcare and social assistance sector employs more than two million people and records the highest number of work-related injuries in the country, according to Safe Work Australia. The online model Code is designed to provide practical advice to help manage workplace risks and meet work health and safety duties.
The agency stated that the digital resource was developed in consultation with industry stakeholders and Safe Work Australia Members to make safety guidance more accessible to workers across the sector.
