Safe Work Australia has announced an initiative to address workers' compensation stigma, stating that negative perceptions can discourage workers from making claims and impact their recovery.
The agency has published a dedicated webpage featuring fact sheets, case studies, and posters designed to help employers, supervisors, and workers identify and reduce stigma.
Between August and November, Safe Work Australia will conduct a social media campaign across LinkedIn and Facebook. According to the agency, the posts will highlight practical actions to support positive workplace environments and raise awareness of the National Return to Work Strategy 2020–2030.
