Squadron Leader Mike Mason served for 20 years in the Royal Air Force flying the Harrier Jump Jet, the Eurofighter Typhoon and the F-18 Hornet and finished his career as a senior leader on a frontline fighter squadron. He now serves as an instructor with the Royal Australian Air Force, teaching the next generation of fighter pilots. He has amassed well over 3000 flying hours; flown from aircraft carriers; and deployed to multiple different combat zones. As Mike progressed through his career, he became more and more aware that technology and equipment can only get you so far. To be the best you can be, Mike knows it is vital to consider the ‘Human Factor’. As well as using Human Factors in the flying world, both with the military and now in the business world with On Target, he also provides training to scuba divers to help improve their performance and safety.
