By the end of this module, learners will be able to understand:
Relevant Australian Legislation:
Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act 2011
Requires workplaces to identify hazards, assess risks and implement control measures, including psychosocial hazards such as aggression, threats and violence.
Recognise occupational violence as a psychosocial hazard that must be managed through risk assessment, controls, training and review.
Workers must take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others, and follow reasonable instructions and workplace procedures.
Serious incidents involving injury, immediate danger or risk of serious harm may need to be reported to the relevant WHS regulator.
This module will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
