This module introduces workers to the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous substances. It covers types of hazards (physical, environmental, and health), how substances enter the body, the Globally Harmonised System (GHS), safety data sheets (SDS), chemical labelling, spill response, and risk assessments. Workers are taught how to identify risks, interpret labels, use control measures, and follow safe work procedures to minimise exposure.
