If 2025’s safety efforts didn’t deliver as hoped, it’s time to rethink the approach.
Have we hit the ceiling of what traditional methods can achieve?
To find out, the team at HabitSafe asked over 200 safety professionals what they’re focusing on in 2026, and their responses were eye-opening. Many revealed a reliance on familiar but limiting “half-truths” that feel right but fail to move the dial on real performance.
In this session, Cristian Sylvestre from HabitSafe uncovers the top half-truths currently holding safety back, and, share how embracing the full truth can unlock better outcomes.
Join host Kristina from myosh as we challenge assumptions and explore smarter, more effective safety strategies for the year ahead.
Expect candid insights, practical ideas you can apply immediately, and interactive elements including live polls and audience Q&A.
Let’s move beyond what’s comfortable, and start doing what actually works.
Cristian’s 25-year safety career started in chemical manufacturing and then moved to the oil and gas industry.
In this heavy processing environment, he quickly learned that there are different types of safety and different ways to think about each one.
As a professional chemical engineer and having completed a Masters, he is trained to analyse complex problems and to use evidence-based science to deliver the simplest solutions that achieve positive safety outcomes.
His main field of interest is inattention, something that is in play in 95% of incidents and traditional safety has largely ignored.
He got interested in neuroscience about 15 years ago and wrote a book “Third Generation Safety: The Missing Piece – Using Neuroscience to Enable Personal Safety” to help people understand how inattention comes about and what we can be done to minimise it.
