Australia’s workplace health and safety professional body, the Australian Institute of Health and Safety, wants to understand how prepared businesses are to protect workers and the effectiveness of current practices to prevent transmission of COVID-19.
It is seeking your input to support our understanding of the current climate within workplaces around the country. The purpose of this survey is to gather information which contributes to better health and safety.
“While we want to hear directly from health and safety professionals, we also want the input of anyone who is playing a role in managing the risks in a workplace setting. Although we have a particular interest in the higher risk environments such as aged care, health services and disability services, we’re also gathering information in other industries. So, it does not matter which position you hold or which sector you are in, we want your input on the current safety climate.”
“We want to know about your own personal experience. How you have been supported, how are you coping with the challenges, what changes that have been implemented, whether you believe the standards to be adequate, and most importantly, whether or not you currently feel safe at work.”
The survey is completely confidential and individual responses will not be identified. It is expected the survey will only take you five minutes to complete.
Please share this survey with colleagues, peers and other health and safety experts. Anyone that you think will have insights into the current practices in a workplace. Feel free to forward the email or share on social media.
The AIHS will be sharing their learnings to various government advisory groups to inform COVID standards and industry best practice. This information will also help inform the support provided to the health and safety community.
