1. Incident Reporting

    • Any user can log an incident from any location. Even if the person involved in the incident is not part of your organisation, their information is captured in the system.
    • Depending on the type of incident, eg. Injury, Equipment, Environment, Security and so on, the system will prompt you for the relevant information.
    • Once an incident is logged the appropriate supervisor/manager receives an email notification with details of immediate preventative controls being implemented. This person is responsible for classifying the incident, acquiring relevant particulars and for the further investigation of the incident. The report can be escalated if necessary for sign-off by the appropriate person.
    • A workflow process will facilitate reporting to external statutory bodies if required. If the incident is reportable then internal authorisation is required before you can proceed. If external reporting can be done online, then the appropriate link will conveniently be available from within the report.
    • At any time during the process the investigator can assign Actions to people as required. Associated actions are integrated with the Incident Report and provide an easy to follow audit trail of activities. Hazards or risk factors identified as a result of the investigation can similarly be logged and managed. If a previously identified hazard was a contributing factor to the incident then the person accountable for managing that hazard will be notified.
    • Data is organised in terms of status, department and classification and so on. Combined with management reports, the system provides an overall view of your safety situation.
